Site Evaluation Reflection

For this site evaluation I had a different evaluator (my last three have been with the same person). This evaluator required more than anyone else I have met with in the past which jolted me out of my complacency a bit. I had become so accustomed to one person’s style it was a little difficult to transition. I failed to pay adequate attention to the ground rules she set forth and as such did not hand in my first H&P in advance of our meeting which cost me points. I also had to adapt my note style, which was a good reminder that as I move through this process both in rotations and in clinical practice I will need to be able to adapt my own style to accommodate others.

I feel that I am becoming more confident in my pharm cards and even knew the majority of my classmates as well. Additionally, my assessment and plan which has probably been my largest struggle is starting to feel more comfortable for me. That being said, in patients with multiple comorbidities I will still require guidance, but I do feel confident creating a plan for the more straightforward cases I have encountered.
