Site Evaluation Reflection

This site evaluation took on a different format than others I have had in the past. The first evaluation took the form of an introduction of myself to my evaluator and my evaluator to me. It gave me ample opportunity to ask questions about his own path to and within the PA profession and how I might structure my own career given the goals I have. This was helpful beyond measure. I have found that as I near the end of my time in PA school I feel more comfortable with patient presentations, but have more questions about how best to make my entrance into the workforce. Speaking with my evaluator reaffirmed the fact that I made right decision in choosing my profession. I was so in awe of all of his accomplishments and although he started practicing before there was a defined role as a PA, I was able to understand the possibilities for the trajectory of my own career. So much has changed in my year of rotations, and I look forward to what my future holds.
